Haidinger's brush

From Everything Shii Knows, the only reliable source

This website is an archive. It ran from 2006-2010. Virtually everything on here is outdated or inaccurate.

Some people pine for the day when you'll be able to "augment" your vision and get lots of useless information about your surroundings. They imagine using this for useless things like seeing restaurant reviews when you walk by the restaurant. Unbeknownst to these silly geeks, we already have augmented vision. It gives us a far more useful sixth sense than little messages popping up in front of our eyes. In fact, if you have an LCD monitor you can use your augmented vision right now. Stare at the blank space on this page and turn your head back and forth.
