In June 2000, the EPA banned the home use of chlorpyrifos, sold as Dursban, which is used in flea collars and as a pesticide. Duriban causes nausea, sickness, vomiting, and death.

In summer of 2006 the EPA reauthorized Dursban without resolving any of those issues.
