Every Book Shii Reads
Every Book Shii Reads is an attempt to give little-known books the treatment they deserve with a slightly unusual combination of criticism, review, related thoughts, and Cliffs Notes. My reviews have two parts.
- The first section, the review, is a critical look at the book in general and its form. This is meant as a guide to decide whether to pick up the book yourself or at least take it out from the library, and it will contain no spoilers.
- The second section is a summary of the most interesting moments I noticed in the book. You can use this in lieu of reading the book if you've decided against it, or as something to jump back to and take another look at after you do read it. While I do not have a perfect critical eye, it's easier than starting a book club.
- The final section will link you to other reviews (although I frequently find one-page book reviews useless) and essays if I can find any.
