- Hitotsu, Shogatsu koe no Sazuke wa
- Yare mezurashii.
- First, At New Year, the Sazuke of fertilizer:
- How remarkable it is!
- 흔감하게 수훈을 받으며는
- 참말 든든하리라 一-2
- Nii-ni, Nikkori Sazuke morotara
- Yare tanomoshi ya.
- Second, Smilingly, being bestowed the Sazuke
- How promising it is!
- 세살 때 마음을 정하라 一-3
- San-ni, Sanzai kokoro o sadame.
- Third, Keep the mind of a three-year-old child!
- 오곡풍성 一-4
- Yottsu, Yonomaka.
- Fourth, Then, a rich harvest.
- 리가 솟아 一-5
- Itsutsu, Ri o fuku.
- Fifth, The providences shall come forth.
- 무한히 되어오리라 一-6
- Muttsu, Musho no dekemawasu.
- Sixth, Unlimited abundance everywhere.
- 무엇이든 지어서 거두우면 一-7
- Nanatsu, Nanikani tsukuri toru nara,
- Seventh, If you grow and reap whatever you wish,
- 온 세상은 풍년이리라
- Yattsu, Yamato wa honen ya.
- Eighth, Yamato will be blessed ith a rich harvest.
- 여기까지 따라오라
- Kokonotsu, Koko made tsuite koi.
- Ninth, Now come hither and follow Me!
- 수확량이 정하여졌다
- Toudo, Torime ga sadamarita.
- Tenth, Then the full harvest will become fixed.
Two (2/二)
- 둥둥둥실 정월에 춤추기 시작하면
- 이야 즐거웁구나 二-1
- Ton ton ton to shogatsu odori hajime wa,
- Yare omoshiroi.
- Tong! Tong! Tong! The beginning of the dancing at New Year:
- How delightful it is!
- 신기로운
- 역사를 시작하면 참말 번창하리라 二-2
- Futatsu, Fushigina fushin kakareba,
- Yare nigiwashi ya.
- Second, This marvelous construction once it is started:
- How lovely it is!
- 몸에 붙고 二-3
- Mittsu, Mi ni tsuku.
- Third, Nourishment will be put on you.
- 세상 밝아 二-4
- Yottsu, Yonaori.
- Fourth, The world will change to prosperity.
- 아무라도 따라오게 되며는 二-5
- Itsutsu, Izuremo tsuki kuru naraba,
- Fifth, If all come and follow Me,
- 액운의 뿌리를 끊어 二-6
- Muttsu, Muhon no ne o kiro.
- Sixth, I will cut off the root of rebellion.
- 어려움을 도와주며는 二-7
- Nanatsu, Nanju o sukui agureba,
- Seventh, If you help others who are suffering,
- 질병의 뿌리 끊으리 二-8
- Yattsu, Yamai no ne o kiro.
- Eighth, I will cut off the root of illness.
- 마음을 작정하게 되며는 二-8
- Kokonotsu, Kokoro o sadame iyo nara,
- Ninth, If you keep your mind determined,
- 곳곳마다 평화 이루리 二-8
- Tode, Tokoro no osamari ya.
- Tenth, Peace shall reign everywhere.
Three (3/三)
- 으뜸의 이 터전에서
- 근행하는 장소는 세상의 근본 三-1
- First, At Shoyashiki in the homeland of the Sun,
- This place for the Service is the origin of the world.
- 신기로운 근행의 장소는
- 누구에 부탁을 하지 않아도 三-2
- Second, This marvelous place for the Service,
- Though I ask no one to build.
- 온갖 세상사람 모여들어서
- 이루어져 오는 것이 신기하도다 三-3
- Third, All gathering together from the world,
- the construction has been accomplished. How miraculous it is!
- 잘도잘도 여기까지 따라왔구나
- 진실한 도움이란 이제 부터야 三-4
- Fourth, With much effort, you have followed Me thus far;
- True salvation will begin from now.
- 언제나 조롱받고 비방받아도
- 진기한 도움을 베풀 것이니 三-5
- Fifth, Always ridiculed and slandered,
- Still I will realize remarkable salvation.
- 무리한 소원을랑 하지 말고서
- 한줄기 마음으로 되어오너라 三-6
- Sixth, Never make an unreasonable prayer!
- Come to Me with a single mind!
- 어떻든 이제부터 한줄기로서
- 신을 의지하여 따라가리라 三-7
- Seventh, Whatever may happen, from now on,
- I will go single-heartedly leaning on God.
- 질병처럼 괴로운 건 없는 것이니
- 이 몸도 이제부터 히노끼싱 三-8
- Eighth, There is nothing so trying as illness;
- So from now on, I,too, will devote myself to hinokishin.
- 여기까지 신앙을 하였지마는
- 으뜸의 신인줄 알지 못했다 三-9
- Ninth, Though I have believed thus far,
- I did not know that You are the original God
- 이번에야 나타나셨다
- 진실한 신임에는 틀림이 없다 三-10
- Finally, This time, You have revealed Yourself.
- No doubt You are the true God.
Four (4/四)
- 남들이 무엇이라
- 말할지라도 신이 살피니 진정하여라 四-1
- First, Whatever others may tell you,
- God is watching, so be at ease!
- 두 사람의 마음을 합심하며는
- 어떠한 일이라도 나타나리라 四-2
- Second, Settle the mind of the two of you in one accord!
- Then any and everything shall be realized.
- 모두 보아 다오 근방사람들
- 신이 하는 일 이루는 일을 四-3
- Third, All of you close to Me,
- Watch whatever God acts and works!
- 밤낮으로 흥겨웁게 근행 올림을
- 주위는 비웃고서 싫어하겠지 四-4
- Fourth, Night and day, dong! chang! we perform the Service;
- The neighbors may feel it noisy and annoying.
- 언제나 도움을 서두르시니
- 조속히 즐거웁게 되어오너라 四-5
- Fifth, As I am always in haste to save you,
- Quickly become joyful and come to Me!
- 근방사람 어서어서 건지고 싶다
- 그러나 마음속을 몰라주어서 四-6
- Sixth, Villagers I wish to save at once,
- But they do not understand My heart.
- 무엇이든 온갖으로 서로 도웁기
- 가슴속 깊이깊이 생각하여라 四-7
- Seventh, Helping each other in any and everything
- Ponder over it from your innermost heart!
- 질병고통 깨끗하게 뿌리 빠져서
- 마음은 차츰차츰 용솟음친다 四-8
- Eighth, All illness shall be completely rooted out,
- And step by step your hearts will become cheerful.
- 여기는 이세상의 극락이라오
- 나 역시 어서어서 가고 싶어라 四-9
- Ninth, Here is paradise on this earth.
- I, too, wish to go quickly to worship.
- 이번에야 가슴속이
- 깨끗하게 씻어지니 감사하도다 四-10
- Finally, This time, my innermost heart has become
- completely pure. How grateful I am!
Five (5/五)
- 널따란 이세상의 가운데라서
- 도와주는 곳들이야 더러 있겠지 五-1
- First, As this world is so wide,
- There may be various places to save people.
- 신기로운 도움은 이곳이로다
- 출산도 마마병도 건져주리라 五-2
- Second, Miraculous salvation at this place,
- I grant you save childbirth and freedom from smallpox.
- 청수와 신은 같은이치야
- 마음속의 더러움을 씻어주리라 五-3
- Third, God, the same as water,
- Washes away the dirts from your minds.
- 사욕이 없는 자는 없을 것이나
- 신의 앞에서는 사욕이 없다 五-4
- Fourth, Though there is no one who in free from greed,
- Before God there is in greed.
- 오래오래 신앙을 하였더라도
- 즐거움 만으로서 가득해야지 五-5
- Fifth, However long you may continue to believe,
- Your life shall ever be filled with joy.
- 가혹한 마음을랑 털어버리고
- 인자로운 마음으로 되어오너라 五-6
- Sixth, Forgetting away a cruel heart,
- Come to Me with a gentle heart!
- 어쨌든 고생은 안시킬테다
- 도움 한줄기의 여기 이곳은 五-7
- Seventh, Assuredly I shall never leave you in suffering,
- Because this is the place of single-hearted salvation.
- 터전에 한정된 것 아닌 것이니
- 모든 나라 까지에도 도와가리라 五-8
- Eighth, Not only in Yamato,
- I will go also to other countries to save you all.
- 여기는 이세상의 근본의 터전
- 진기한 이곳이 나타났도다 五-9
- Ninth, This is the Djiba, the origin of this world.
- indeed a remarkable place has been revealed.
- 어떻든지 신앙을 할 것같으면
- 교회를 이룩하여 볼 것 아닌가 五-10
- Since firmly we are determined to believe,
- Let us form a brotherhood.
Six (6/六)
- 사람의 마음이라 하는 것은
- 의심이 많음이상례이니라 六-1
- First, Human minds are so deeply doubtful.
- 신기로운 도움을 베풀 것이니
- 어떠한 일이든지 살피시니라 六-2
- Second, As I work miraculous salvation,
- I discern any and everything.
- 온갖 세상사람 가슴속들이
- 거울같이 비쳐서 보이나니라 六-3
- Third, The innermost hearts of all in the world,
- Are reflected to Me as in a mirror.
- 잘도잘도 근행하며 따라왔구나
- 이것이 도움의 근본이 된다 六-4
- Fourth, I am pleased that you have followed to join the Service.
- This Service is the fundamental wayb for salvation.
- 언제나 신악과 손 춤을 추면
- 언젠가는 진기한 도움있으리 六-5
- Fifth, Always performing the Kagura and Teodori,
- In the future I will work remarkable salvation.
- 분별없이 함부로 원할지라도
- 받아주는 방법도 여러 가지라 六-6
- Sixth, You make prayers thoughtlessly.
- The ways of My response are also a thousand.
- 아무리 신앙을 하였더라도
- 마음자리 틀려서는 아니 되노라 六-7
- Seventh, However eagerly you may believe,
- Never entertain wrong thoughts!
- 어떻든지 신앙을 해야만 되지
- 마음자리 틀리며는 다시 나리라 六-8
- Eighth, After all you must continue to believe,
- If you entertain wrong thoughts, you are to start anew.
- 여기까지 신앙을 하여 왔으니
- 한가지의 효과라도 보아야 하지 六-9
- Ninth, Having believed thus far until now,
- You should be shown your merit.
- 이번에야 보였습니다
- 부채의 여쭈움이 신기하도다 六-10
- Finally, This time, it has appeared.
- The invocation of the fan, how marvelous it is!
Seven (7/七)
- 한마디의 말씀은 히노끼싱
- 가르침 만이라도 전하여 두자 七-1
- First, A single word can be hinokishin.
- I simply sprinkle My fragrance around.
- 뜻깊은 마음이 계신 것이니
- 아무도 말려서는 안될 것이다 七-2
- Second, As My intention is so profound,
- No one should prevent it.
- 온갖 세상사람 마음속에는
- 전답을 마다할 사람은 없다 七-3
- Third, There is no one in the world,
- Whose mind does not desire to own a field.
- 좋은 전답 있으며는 세상사람들
- 누구나 가지고자 할 것이겠지 七-4
- Fourth, If there is a good field,
- Everyone equally will desire to own it.
- 누구이든 사람은 같을 것이니
- 나 역시 그런 전답 갖고 싶거늘 七-5
- Fifth, It is the same with everyone,
- I, too, wish to own such a good field.
- 무리로 어쩌라고 말하지 않아
- 그것은 사람마다 마음에 따라 七-6
- Sixth, I never compel you to do this or that.
- That is left to your own heart.
- 어떻든지 전답을 갖고 싶으니
- 대가는 얼마만큼 든다 하여도 七-7
- Seventh, I wish to get the field by any means,
- No matter what the price may be.
- 이 터전은 신의 전답이므로
- 뿌려놓은 씨앗은 모두 싹튼다 七-8
- Eighth, As this Residence is the field of God.
- Every seed sown here will sprout.
- 여기는 이세상의 전답이오니
- 나 역시 부지런히 씨를 뿌리자 七-9
- Ninth, Since this is the field of this world,
- I, too, will sow the seed devotedly.
- 이번에야 세상사람들
- 잘도잘도 씨앗을 뿌리러 왔다
- 씨앗을 뿌려놓은 그네들에는
- 거름을 안하고도 수확 있으리 七-10
- Finally, This time, I am glad to see that all af you equally
- Have come here to sow the seed;
- Those who have sown the seed,
- Shall reap a rich harvest without fertilizing.
Eight (8/八)
- 널따란 세상이나 나라안에는
- 석재도 목재들도 없을리 있나 八-1
- First, In this wide world and its many countried;
- Are there no stones or standing trees?
- 신기로운 역사를 할 것이라도
- 누구에 부탁하지 않을 것이니 八-2
- Second, Though I carry out marvelous construction,
- I never ask a favor of anyone.
- 모두 차츰차츰 온 세계에서
- 모여들 것 같으며는 이루어진다 八-3
- Third, All coming together from the world one after another,
- It will be accomplished.
- 사욕의 마음을 저버리고서
- 독실한 마음으로 작정하여라 八-4
- Fourth, Forgetting away the mind of greed,
- Set out to determine your mind firmly!
- 언제까지 망설이고 있을지라도
- 안으로서 하는 것이 아닌 것이니 八-5
- Fifth, However long you may hesitate,
- It will never be accomplished by yourselves.
- 분별없이 함부로 서둘지 말고
- 가슴속 깊이깊이 생각하여라 八-6
- Sixth, Never hasten so thoughtlessly!
- Ponder over it from your innermost heart!
- 어떻든 마음속이 맑아지거든
- 조속히 역사를 시작하여라 八-7
- Seventh, When your mind becomes somewhat purified,
- Begin the construction at once!
- 첩첩산 깊은 곳에 찾아들어가
- 석재도 목재들도 보아두었다 八-8
- Eighth, Having entered into the mountains,
- I have already seen the stones and standing trees.
- 이 나무 베어낼까 저돌로 할까
- 생각해도 신의 의사에 따라 八-9
- Ninth, Whether to cut down this tree or to take that stone;
- It entirely depends upon the heart of God.
- 이번에야 세상사람들
- 깨끗하게 씻어지니 가슴속들이 八-10
- Finally, This time, the hearts of all equally
- Have become completely purified.
Nine (9)
- 널따란 이세상을 돌아다니며
- 일선 이선으로 도와가리라 九-1
- First, Clapping around throughout the wide world,
- And cleansing human hearts once and twice,
- I will advance the work of salvation.
- 고생이 없도록 하여 줄테니
- 신의 마음에 의탁하여라 九-2
- Second, Against any hardship I will protect you;
- So lean closely on the mind of God!
- 살피니 세상사람 마음속에는
- 사욕이 섞이어서 있는 것이니 九-3
- Third, Looking into all minds of the world,
- I find greed intermingled.
- 사욕이 있으며는 버리어 다오
- 신이 받아주지 않을 것이니 九-4
- Fourth, If you have greed, cast it away!
- Because God cannot accept it.
- 누구이든 사람은 같을 것이니
- 생각을 정하여서 따라오너라 九-5
- Fifth, It is the same with everyone.
- Determine your mind and follow Me!
- 무리로 나오라고 하지 않으니
- 마음의 작정이 될 때까지는 九-6
- Sixth, I never compel you to go forth,
- Until you determine your own minds.
- 참으로 이번에야 세상사람들
- 마음깊이 생각을 해야만 된다 九-7
- Seventh, Indeed, this time all of you equally
- Must ponder over it deeply.
- 첩첩산 깊은 곳도 여기저기서
- 천리왕님의 근행을 한다 九-8
- Eighth, Even in the mountains, here and there,
- The Service of Tenri-O is performed.
- 여기서 근행을 하고 있지만
- 신의 뜻 아는 자는 바이없도다 九-9
- Ninth, Though people are performing the Service here,
- No one understands My heart.
- 어떻든 신의 이름 부를 것이면
- 조속히 이곳으로 찾아오너라 九-10
- Now that you are calling the name of God,
- Come forth quickly to the original home!
Ten (10/十)
- 사람의 마음이라 하는 것이란
- 좀처럼 알아보기 어려운거야 十-1
- First, The human nind cannot
- understand truth easily.
- 신기로운 도움을 하고 있지만
- 나타나 보이는 건 처음이니라 十-2
- Second, Though I have been working miracles of salvation,
- This is the first time that I reveal Myself.
- 물 속에 섞여있는 이런 진흙을
- 조속히 쳐내주기 바라고 싶다 十-3
- Third, This mud in the water,
- I wish you to take it out quickly.
- 사욕이 한이 없는 진흙 물이야
- 마음이 맑아지면 극락이로다 十-4
- Fourth, Greed is fathomless like muddy water.
- When your mind is completely purified,
- Then comes paradise.
- 오래오래 까지도 이러한 일은
- 이야기의 근거가 되는 것이니 十-5
- Fifth, Forever this shall become the seed of stories.
- 엄하신 훈계 말씀 하시는 것도
- 조속히 도움을 서두르시니 十-6
- Sixth, Though I have spoken such severe words,
- It is because of My haste to save you.
- 고생을 하는 것도 마음속에서
- 자신을 원망해야 할 것이니라 十-7
- Seventh, Suffering comes from your own mind.
- So you should reproach yourself.
- 질병이란 쓰라린 것이지마는
- 근본을 아는 자는 바이없도다 十-8
- Eighth, Though illness is so trying,
- No one has ever known its origin.
- 오늘이때 까지는 세상사람들
- 질병의 근본은 알지 못했다 十-9
- Ninth, Until this time all of you equally
- Have been ignorant of the origin of illness.
- 이번에야 알게 되었다
- 질병의 근본은 마음속에서 十-10
- Finally, This time, it has been revealed.
- The origin of illness lies in your own mind.
Eleven (11/十一)
- 으뜸의 이터전안에
- 신의 성전으로 터전을 정해 十一-1
- First, At Shoyashiki in the homeland of the Sun,
- The Djiba, the abode of God, is to be identified.
- 부부가 합심하여 히 노 끼 싱
- 이것이 첫째가는 근원이 된다 十一-2
- Second, Husband and wife working together in hinokishin;
- This is the first seed of everything.
- 살피니 온세상은 차츰차츰
- 목도 둘러메고 히 노 끼 싱 十一-3
- Third,I behold more and more people coming from the world,
- And bearing straw baskets in hinokishin.
- 사욕을 저 버리고 히 노 끼 싱
- 이것이 첫째 가는 거름이 된다 十一-4
- Fourth, forgetting greed we work in hinokishin.
- This becomes the first fertilizer.
- 오래오래 까지도 흙나르기라
- 아직 있다며는 나도 가겠다 十一-5
- Fifth, forever continues the carrying of earth.
- If yet it continues, I, too, will go.
- 무리로 말리지는 않을 것이니
- 마음만 있으며는 누구이라도 十一-6
- Sixth, Do not unreasonably stop anyone!
- I welcome any and everyone who is willing.
- 어떻든 진기한 흙나르기야
- 이것이 봉상이 된다하며는 十一-7
- Seventh, How remarkable this carrying of earth is,
- When it serves as a contribution to God!
- 터전의 이 흙을 파내어서는
- 장소를 바꿔서 놓을 뿐이라 十一-8
- Eighth, Digging up the earth of the Residence,
- You just carry it from one place to another
- 오늘이때 까지는 세상사람들
- 신의 뜻 모름이 유감이로다 十一-9
- Ninth, Until this time, no one has ever understood MY heart;
- How regretful it is!
- 올해에는 거름안해도
- 충분히 추수를 거둬들인다
- 참말 든든하고도 감사하도다 十一-10
- Finally, This year, without fertilizing,
- We reaped a sufficient harvest.
- Oh, how delighted we are! How thankful we are!
Twelve (12/十二)
- 우선에 목수의 여쭘에 따라
- 어떠한 일이라도 맡겨두겠다 十二-1
- First, Initially to the invocation of the carpenter,
- I leave any and every detail.
- 신기로운 역사를 할 것이며는
- 신에게 여쭈어서 일러주어라 十二-2
- Second, When you begin the marvelous construction,
- Give instructions after invoking My will!
- 모두 세계에서 차츰차츰
- 모여온 목수들에 전도하여라 十二-3
- Third, From all over the world,carpenters are coming one after another.
- Sprinkle My fragrance on them!
- 좋은 목수장이 있다하며는
- 조속히 이곳에다 모아두어라 十二-4
- Fourth, When you find good masters,
- Quickly bring them to this original heme!
- 머지않아 목수장은 네 명이 든다
- 조속히 신에게 여쭈어보라 十二-5
- Fifth, In the future four masters will be needed.
- Quickly invoke My will!
- 무리로 오라고는 하지 않아도
- 저절로 차츰차츰 따라오리라 十二-6
- Sixth, I never compel you to come forth.
- Yet you will come along one after another.
- 참으로 진기한 이 역사를
- 시작한 일이라면 끝이 없나니 十二-7
- Seventh, Ever so remarkable is this work of construction;
- Once begun, there shall be no end to it.
- 첩첩산 깊은 곳에 갈 것이며는
- 튼튼한 목수장을 데리고 가라 十二-8
- Eighth, When you go into the mountains,
- Take with you the wood master!
- 이것은 세공하는 목수장이야
- 집 세우는 목수장 이것 대패질 十二-9
- Ninth, Here are the fine work master,
- The framing master and the planer.
- 이번에야 한결같이로
- 목수들의 인수도 갖추어졌다 十二-10
- Finally, This time, all the members of carpenters have assembled.
